Brandy is hard at work promoting her first ever holiday album, ‘Christmas with Brandy.’ And while the masses are lapping up the critically-acclaimed set, there’s ample buzz around her next traditional release too.
The Vocal Bible last released a conventional LP in 2020 with ‘B7’ and went on to sign a major new record deal with Motown in 2022.
In a new interview with Billboard, B-Rocka was quizzed on her next record and addressed it head-on.

When asked about ‘B8’ (as codenamed by fans) she replied:
“I would love to start working on [my next album]‘B8.’ I really would. It’s in the plan.”

I’ll gag if her album drops before Trenches🤣
Brandy will gag on big Ds to actually get a decent song for this record. Her last Top 20 Billboard hit was 21 years ago (Full Moon, #18, April 2002. What About Us, #7, came out Jan. 2002.) Her hit-making years began in 1994 and only lasted for 8 years. A sit-com saved her career. Still, Monica should have practiced her comic timing, because she coasted on nothing but promises and victimhood.
Seriously what’s up with Trenches? She first teased “Chapter 38” now she’s 43 years old….
She hasn’t started yet? We’re not seeing B8 till 2026 then. Trenches is the album that never comes.
I feel like Brandy two personalities. Like her energy on Versus was Hype – ADD- ish and energetic- But here she is chill. Just and observation. These pop ups on this site is sending me……
This lady is the most unsatisfying musician ever. 30 years and only 3 memorable albums. The Christmas album is a snooze fest
